Barangay Maninang

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Maninang is one of the administrative divisions of Sapi-An in Capiz, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Maninang had a population of 2,923. This made it the 4th largest of 10 barangays in Sapi-An by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maninang accounted for approximately 10.95% of the total population of Sapi-An, which stood at 26,697 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Maninang changed from 2,856 to 2,923, a shift of +2.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sapi-An. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Maninang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sapi-An is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maninang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
