According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 5,210. This made it the 1st largest of 10 barangays in Sapi-An by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 19.52% of the total population of Sapi-An, which stood at 26,697 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion changed from 5,264 to 5,210, a shift of -1.0% over the five-year period.
