Barangay Concepcion No. 1

Barangay Concepcion No. 1 is a large barangay in the municipality of Sariaya, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Concepcion No. 1 had a population of 5,764. This made it the 8th largest of 43 barangays in Sariaya by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Concepcion No. 1 accounted for approximately 3.56% of the total population of Sariaya, which stood at 161,868 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Concepcion No. 1 changed from 5,197 to 5,764, a shift of +10.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sariaya. Barangay Concepcion No. 1 is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Sariaya is a municipality comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Concepcion No. 1, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Concepcion No. 1 ranks 49th by 2020 population.
