Barangay Sampaloc 1

Barangay Sampaloc 1 is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Sariaya, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sampaloc 1 had a population of 2,603. This made it the 31st largest of 43 barangays in Sariaya by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sampaloc 1 accounted for approximately 1.61% of the total population of Sariaya, which stood at 161,868 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sampaloc 1 changed from 2,608 to 2,603, a shift of -0.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Sariaya. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sampaloc 1 as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
