Barangay Labney

Situated in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Labney is one of 37 barangays that make up the city within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Labney had a population of 1,064. This made it the 32nd largest of 37 barangays in Science City of Muñoz by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Labney accounted for approximately 1.26% of the total population of Science City of Muñoz, which stood at 84,308 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 940 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,064 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Labney as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Science City of Muñoz is a city comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Labney, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Labney ranks 705th by 2020 population.
