Barangay Bayawahan

Situated in Sevilla, Bohol, Barangay Bayawahan is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bayawahan had a population of 1,000. This made it the 4th largest of 13 barangays in Sevilla by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bayawahan accounted for approximately 8.79% of the total population of Sevilla, which stood at 11,376 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bayawahan changed from 886 to 1,000, a shift of +12.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sevilla. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bayawahan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
