Barangay Cabariuan

Situated in Sibalom, Antique, Barangay Cabariuan is one of 76 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabariuan had a population of 769. This made it the 29th largest of 76 barangays in Sibalom by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabariuan accounted for approximately 1.20% of the total population of Sibalom, which stood at 63,833 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 714 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 769 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Cabariuan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sibalom is a municipality comprising 76 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabariuan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Antique, which contains 590 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cabariuan ranks 294th by 2020 population.
