Barangay Lunday

Barangay Lunday is a small barangay in the municipality of Sibuco, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Norte, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lunday had a population of 1,652. This made it the 7th largest of 28 barangays in Sibuco by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lunday accounted for approximately 4.58% of the total population of Sibuco, which stood at 36,049 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lunday moving from 1,570 residents to 1,652 residents, an intercensal change of +5.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lunday is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
