Barangay Nala (Pob.)

Situated in Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Nala (Pob.) is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nala (Pob.) had a population of 493. This made it the 24th largest of 28 barangays in Sibuco by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nala (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.37% of the total population of Sibuco, which stood at 36,049 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 465 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 493 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Nala (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sibuco is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nala (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
