Barangay Agan-an

Barangay Agan-an forms part of Sibulan, a municipality in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Agan-an had a population of 2,472. This made it the 12th largest of 15 barangays in Sibulan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agan-an accounted for approximately 3.84% of the total population of Sibulan, which stood at 64,343 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Agan-an moving from 3,392 residents to 2,472 residents, an intercensal change of -27.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Agan-an as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
