Barangay Dayhagon

Barangay Dayhagon is a small barangay in the municipality of Sigma, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dayhagon had a population of 918. This made it the 18th largest of 21 barangays in Sigma by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dayhagon accounted for approximately 2.90% of the total population of Sigma, which stood at 31,688 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dayhagon moving from 869 residents to 918 residents, an intercensal change of +5.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dayhagon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
