Barangay Bucal

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Bucal is one of the administrative divisions of Silang in Cavite, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bucal had a population of 2,082. This made it the 50th largest of 64 barangays in Silang by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bucal accounted for approximately 0.70% of the total population of Silang, which stood at 295,644 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,666 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,082 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +25.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bucal is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Silang is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bucal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bucal ranks 481st by 2020 population.
