Situated in Silang, Cavite, Barangay Cabangaan is one of 64 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabangaan had a population of 1,554. This made it the 57th largest of 64 barangays in Silang by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabangaan accounted for approximately 0.53% of the total population of Silang, which stood at 295,644 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,170 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,554 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +32.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Cabangaan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
