Barangay Tartaria

Situated in Silang, Cavite, Barangay Tartaria is one of 64 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tartaria had a population of 15,714. This made it the 2nd largest of 64 barangays in Silang by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tartaria accounted for approximately 5.32% of the total population of Silang, which stood at 295,644 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 12,695 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 15,714 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +23.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Tartaria is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Silang is a municipality comprising 64 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tartaria, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tartaria ranks 58th by 2020 population. Barangay Tartaria is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
