Barangay Aguing

Barangay Aguing is a very small barangay in the municipality of Sinait, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Aguing had a population of 326. This made it the 37th largest of 44 barangays in Sinait by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Aguing accounted for approximately 1.25% of the total population of Sinait, which stood at 25,998 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Aguing moving from 321 residents to 326 residents, an intercensal change of +1.6%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Aguing is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
