Barangay Liyang

Barangay Liyang is a small barangay in the municipality of Siniloan, located in the province of Laguna, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Liyang had a population of 601. This made it the 16th largest of 20 barangays in Siniloan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Liyang accounted for approximately 1.52% of the total population of Siniloan, which stood at 39,460 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Liyang moving from 698 residents to 601 residents, an intercensal change of -13.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Liyang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Siniloan is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Liyang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
