Barangay Macatad

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Macatad is one of the administrative divisions of Siniloan in Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Macatad had a population of 3,034. This made it the 5th largest of 20 barangays in Siniloan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Macatad accounted for approximately 7.69% of the total population of Siniloan, which stood at 39,460 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Macatad changed from 2,812 to 3,034, a shift of +7.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Siniloan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Macatad as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Siniloan is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Macatad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Laguna, which contains 681 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Macatad ranks 277th by 2020 population.
