Barangay Cang-isad

Barangay Cang-isad is a very small barangay in the municipality of Siquijor, located in the province of Siquijor, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cang-isad had a population of 186. This made it the 42nd largest of 42 barangays in Siquijor by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cang-isad accounted for approximately 0.64% of the total population of Siquijor, which stood at 28,915 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cang-isad moving from 171 residents to 186 residents, an intercensal change of +8.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cang-isad is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Siquijor is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cang-isad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
