Barangay Calunetan

Barangay Calunetan is a small barangay in the municipality of Sison, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calunetan had a population of 891. This made it the 27th largest of 28 barangays in Sison by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calunetan accounted for approximately 1.70% of the total population of Sison, which stood at 52,320 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calunetan moving from 817 residents to 891 residents, an intercensal change of +9.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Calunetan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
