Barangay Dungon

Situated in Sison, Pangasinan, Barangay Dungon is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dungon had a population of 1,931. This made it the 9th largest of 28 barangays in Sison by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dungon accounted for approximately 3.69% of the total population of Sison, which stood at 52,320 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dungon moving from 1,588 residents to 1,931 residents, an intercensal change of +21.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dungon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
