Barangay Veterans

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Veterans is one of the administrative divisions of Surallah in South Cotabato, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Veterans had a population of 1,740. This made it the 16th largest of 17 barangays in Surallah by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Veterans accounted for approximately 1.95% of the total population of Surallah, which stood at 89,340 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Veterans moving from 1,714 residents to 1,740 residents, an intercensal change of +1.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Veterans as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Surallah is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Veterans, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
