Barangay Alba

Situated in Tago, Surigao Del Sur, Barangay Alba is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Alba had a population of 1,830. This made it the 7th largest of 24 barangays in Tago by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Alba accounted for approximately 4.59% of the total population of Tago, which stood at 39,831 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Alba moving from 1,686 residents to 1,830 residents, an intercensal change of +8.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Alba as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
