Barangay Bangsud

Barangay Bangsud is a small barangay in the municipality of Tago, located in the province of Surigao Del Sur, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bangsud had a population of 940. This made it the 20th largest of 24 barangays in Tago by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bangsud accounted for approximately 2.36% of the total population of Tago, which stood at 39,831 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bangsud moving from 884 residents to 940 residents, an intercensal change of +6.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bangsud is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
