Barangay Buted

Barangay Buted forms part of Talugtug, a municipality in Nueva Ecija, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Buted had a population of 712. This made it the 20th largest of 28 barangays in Talugtug by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buted accounted for approximately 2.82% of the total population of Talugtug, which stood at 25,236 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 683 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 712 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Buted is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Talugtug is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Buted, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
