Barangay Cabiangan

Situated in Talugtug, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Cabiangan is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabiangan had a population of 658. This made it the 23rd largest of 28 barangays in Talugtug by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabiangan accounted for approximately 2.61% of the total population of Talugtug, which stood at 25,236 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 597 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 658 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabiangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Talugtug is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabiangan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cabiangan ranks 802nd by 2020 population.
