Barangay Big Banisilon

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Big Banisilon is one of the administrative divisions of Tangcal in Lanao Del Norte, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Big Banisilon had a population of 1,366. This made it the 3rd largest of 18 barangays in Tangcal by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Big Banisilon accounted for approximately 8.50% of the total population of Tangcal, which stood at 16,075 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Big Banisilon changed from 1,356 to 1,366, a shift of +0.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Tangcal. Barangay Big Banisilon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
