Barangay Canabuan

Barangay Canabuan is a small barangay in the municipality of Tigbauan, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Canabuan had a population of 705. This made it the 33rd largest of 52 barangays in Tigbauan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canabuan accounted for approximately 1.08% of the total population of Tigbauan, which stood at 65,245 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Canabuan moving from 680 residents to 705 residents, an intercensal change of +3.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Canabuan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
