Barangay Napnapan Sur

Situated in Tigbauan, Iloilo, Barangay Napnapan Sur is one of 52 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Napnapan Sur had a population of 1,791. This made it the 14th largest of 52 barangays in Tigbauan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Napnapan Sur accounted for approximately 2.75% of the total population of Tigbauan, which stood at 65,245 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,633 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,791 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Napnapan Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tigbauan is a municipality comprising 52 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Napnapan Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
