Barangay La Union

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay La Union is one of the administrative divisions of Trinidad in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay La Union had a population of 2,142. This made it the 7th largest of 20 barangays in Trinidad by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay La Union accounted for approximately 6.10% of the total population of Trinidad, which stood at 35,119 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay La Union changed from 1,995 to 2,142, a shift of +7.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Trinidad. Barangay La Union is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Trinidad is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay La Union, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
