Barangay Santa Teresa

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Santa Teresa is one of the administrative divisions of Tubao in La Union, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Teresa had a population of 1,823. This made it the 7th largest of 18 barangays in Tubao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Teresa accounted for approximately 5.74% of the total population of Tubao, which stood at 31,763 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santa Teresa changed from 1,618 to 1,823, a shift of +12.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tubao. Barangay Santa Teresa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tubao is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Teresa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
