Barangay Genonocan

Barangay Genonocan is a small barangay in the municipality of Tubigon, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Genonocan had a population of 647. This made it the 31st largest of 34 barangays in Tubigon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Genonocan accounted for approximately 1.35% of the total population of Tubigon, which stood at 47,886 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Genonocan changed from 688 to 647, a shift of -6.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Tubigon. Barangay Genonocan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
