Barangay Guiwanon

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Guiwanon is one of the administrative divisions of Tubigon in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Guiwanon had a population of 1,657. This made it the 11th largest of 34 barangays in Tubigon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guiwanon accounted for approximately 3.46% of the total population of Tubigon, which stood at 47,886 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,261 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,657 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +31.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Guiwanon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tubigon is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guiwanon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bohol, which contains 1,109 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Guiwanon ranks 226th by 2020 population.
