Barangay Boloc

Barangay Boloc is a small barangay in the municipality of Tubungan, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Boloc had a population of 577. This made it the 12th largest of 48 barangays in Tubungan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Boloc accounted for approximately 2.51% of the total population of Tubungan, which stood at 23,021 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Boloc moving from 569 residents to 577 residents, an intercensal change of +1.4%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Boloc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
