Barangay Lanag Sur

Situated in Tubungan, Iloilo, Barangay Lanag Sur is one of 48 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lanag Sur had a population of 565. This made it the 14th largest of 48 barangays in Tubungan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. The barangay recorded 504 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 565 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Lanag Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
