Barangay IV (Pob.)

Barangay IV (Pob.) is a very small barangay in the municipality of Tuburan, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay IV (Pob.) had a population of 219. This made it the 52nd largest of 54 barangays in Tuburan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay IV (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.32% of the total population of Tuburan, which stood at 68,167 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 254 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 219 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay IV (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tuburan is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay IV (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
