Barangay Locso-on

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Locso-on is one of the administrative divisions of Tudela in Misamis Occidental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Locso-on had a population of 1,124. This made it the 8th largest of 33 barangays in Tudela by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Locso-on accounted for approximately 3.93% of the total population of Tudela, which stood at 28,599 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Locso-on changed from 995 to 1,124, a shift of +13.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tudela. Barangay Locso-on is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tudela is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Locso-on, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Occidental, which contains 490 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Locso-on ranks 180th by 2020 population.
