Barangay Navalan

Situated in Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur, Barangay Navalan is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Navalan had a population of 2,513. This made it the 4th largest of 25 barangays in Tukuran by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Navalan accounted for approximately 5.92% of the total population of Tukuran, which stood at 42,429 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Navalan moving from 2,224 residents to 2,513 residents, an intercensal change of +13.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Navalan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
