Barangay Fugu Norte

Barangay Fugu Norte is a small barangay in the municipality of Tumauini, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Fugu Norte had a population of 716. This made it the 42nd largest of 46 barangays in Tumauini by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Fugu Norte accounted for approximately 1.01% of the total population of Tumauini, which stood at 70,743 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Fugu Norte moving from 805 residents to 716 residents, an intercensal change of -11.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Fugu Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tumauini is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Fugu Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
