Barangay Bolboc

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Bolboc is one of the administrative divisions of Tuy in Batangas, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bolboc had a population of 2,726. This made it the 5th largest of 22 barangays in Tuy by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bolboc accounted for approximately 5.86% of the total population of Tuy, which stood at 46,519 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bolboc changed from 2,595 to 2,726, a shift of +5.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tuy. Barangay Bolboc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tuy is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bolboc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bolboc ranks 339th by 2020 population.
