Barangay Jose Leido Jr.

Barangay Jose Leido Jr. is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Victoria, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Jose Leido Jr. had a population of 2,134. This made it the 8th largest of 32 barangays in Victoria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jose Leido Jr. accounted for approximately 4.09% of the total population of Victoria, which stood at 52,175 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,116 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,134 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Jose Leido Jr. as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Victoria is a municipality comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Jose Leido Jr., including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Oriental Mindoro, which contains 426 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Jose Leido Jr. ranks 156th by 2020 population.
