Barangay Cahigan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cahigan is one of the administrative divisions of Villaba in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cahigan had a population of 834. This made it the 22nd largest of 35 barangays in Villaba by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cahigan accounted for approximately 1.95% of the total population of Villaba, which stood at 42,859 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cahigan moving from 761 residents to 834 residents, an intercensal change of +9.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
