Barangay Kimaya

Situated in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, Barangay Kimaya is one of 11 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

This made it the 9th largest of 11 barangays in Villanueva by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Kimaya changed from 1,100 to 1,078, a shift of -2.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Villanueva. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kimaya as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
