Barangay Poblacion 3

Barangay Poblacion 3 is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Villanueva, located in the province of Misamis Oriental, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion 3 had a population of 4,163. This made it the 5th largest of 11 barangays in Villanueva by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 3 accounted for approximately 10.30% of the total population of Villanueva, which stood at 40,419 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion 3 changed from 3,944 to 4,163, a shift of +5.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Villanueva.
