About Jovy Racines Rico

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing, Barangay Matambo had a population of 484 residents — the constituency that Jovy serves as Punong Barangay. Albay is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance.
Barangay officials in the Philippines are elected during the synchronised Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE). Jovy currently holds office under the mandate established by the October 30, 2023 BSKE. The next BSKE, at which this position will again be contested, is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026.

The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, per COMELEC Resolution No. 11191. All barangay officials including the Punong Barangay, Sangguniang Barangay Members (Kagawads), and Sangguniang Kabataan officials will be elected. Under Republic Act No. 12232, officials elected in 2026 will serve four-year terms.
