Barangay Poblacion

Situated in Aborlan, Palawan, Barangay Poblacion is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 2,526. This made it the 6th largest of 19 barangays in Aborlan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 6.52% of the total population of Aborlan, which stood at 38,736 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion changed from 2,462 to 2,526, a shift of +2.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Aborlan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Aborlan is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
