Barangay Cabacao

Situated in Abra De Ilog, Occidental Mindoro, Barangay Cabacao is one of 10 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabacao had a population of 6,767. This made it the 1st largest of 10 barangays in Abra De Ilog by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabacao accounted for approximately 19.24% of the total population of Abra De Ilog, which stood at 35,176 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabacao moving from 5,730 residents to 6,767 residents, an intercensal change of +18.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabacao as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Abra De Ilog is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabacao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
