Barangay Lumangbayan

Barangay Lumangbayan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Abra De Ilog, located in the province of Occidental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lumangbayan had a population of 4,161. This made it the 4th largest of 10 barangays in Abra De Ilog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lumangbayan accounted for approximately 11.83% of the total population of Abra De Ilog, which stood at 35,176 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lumangbayan moving from 3,527 residents to 4,161 residents, an intercensal change of +18.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lumangbayan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Abra De Ilog is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lumangbayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
