Barangay Cagbolo

Situated in Abuyog, Leyte, Barangay Cagbolo is one of 63 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cagbolo had a population of 2,592. This made it the 4th largest of 63 barangays in Abuyog by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cagbolo accounted for approximately 4.23% of the total population of Abuyog, which stood at 61,216 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,483 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,592 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Cagbolo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Abuyog is a municipality comprising 63 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cagbolo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
