Barangay Odiongan

Barangay Odiongan is a small barangay in the municipality of Abuyog, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Odiongan had a population of 814. This made it the 26th largest of 63 barangays in Abuyog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Odiongan accounted for approximately 1.33% of the total population of Abuyog, which stood at 61,216 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Odiongan moving from 731 residents to 814 residents, an intercensal change of +11.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Odiongan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
