Barangay San Jose Norte

Barangay San Jose Norte forms part of Agoo, a municipality in La Union, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Jose Norte had a population of 863. This made it the 39th largest of 49 barangays in Agoo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose Norte accounted for approximately 1.31% of the total population of Agoo, which stood at 66,028 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Jose Norte changed from 820 to 863, a shift of +5.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Agoo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Jose Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Agoo is a municipality comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Jose Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
